British Study Centres

Case study
Latimer Appleby was asked to conduct a staff satisfaction survey across the four sites of this award-winning group of English language schools. A key objective was to allow for direct comparisons to be made with the previous research conducted by British Study Centres.


Canterbury City Council

Case study
Latimer Appleby was commissioned in early 2015 to conduct on street research in Canterbury ahead of planned improvement works to part of the city centre. The research was subsequently repeated following completion of the work to provide ‘before’ and ‘after’ comparisons.


Canterbury City Partnership

Canterbury City Partnership (now Canterbury BID) is a membership organisation dedicated to driving growth, jobs and inward investment to the city. Latimer Appleby has conducted on street surveys across the city centre in order to quantify shopper behaviours and satisfaction ratings.


Cascades Shopping Centre

Case study
Cascades is a major shopping scheme located in the heart of Portsmouth city centre. Latimer Appleby was asked to use its shopper market research expertise to explore the opportunities for the future growth of Cascades, with particular reference to understanding the centre’s catchment.

Factor 3

Case study
Integrated marketing agency, Factor 3, appointed Latimer Appleby to conduct visitor research in 2013 for one of their new clients, who run a well known historic house and garden, complete with several unique additional attractions. The purpose of the research was to establish current visitor profiles, generate visitor satisfaction ratings, and provide a number of base performance measures against which future marketing activities could be assessed.


Kent Union

Case study
Latimer Appleby was commissioned by Kent Union to obtain feedback from more than 18,000 students at the University of Kent on the 2011-2014 strategic plan: From Good to Great. The research took the form of an online survey.

NewRiver Retail, is a leading specialist REIT focused on the UK food and value retail sector. Latimer Appleby was instructed to conduct consumer research surveys across twenty of their shopping centres, in order to generate a set of comparative benchmarks and to provide feedback on various new and planned shopper initiatives.


Parkfield Retail

Case study
Parkfield Retail operate a chain of hardware shops in southern England, using the Home Hardware brand facia. Latimer Appleby was appointed to undertake in-store customer research, combined with on street awareness measurement, across part of the estate in order to support the further development of the retail chain.


Princes Mead

Case study
Located in central Farnborough in Hampshire, Princes Mead is a modern, covered shopping centre. With major refurbishment taking place close by in the town, in 2013 Latimer Appleby was appointed to undertake customer research to measure centre performance, quantify shopper satisfaction and establish the profile of current users of Princes Mead.

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Case study
Latimer Appleby was commissioned in 2014 by Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to conduct research amongst users of its various retail and leisure facilities. The project consisted of both online and offline quantitative research across the Trust’s three hospital sites at Chichester, Shoreham-by-Sea and in Worthing.


Whitefriars Canterbury

Latimer Appleby was appointed to continue the twice-yearly shopper research programme to measure key performance indicators and shopper satisfaction at Whitefriars, the award-winning shopping centre in the heart of Canterbury. This particular programme has been continuously managed by Paul Latimer since the scheme opened in 2005.
